Few things I'm doing to stay motivated post lock down.

It has been a while since my last blog post. If you are one of those people that lost motivation during lock down then welcome on board. I totally lost the zeal for everything and anything. Didn’t even want to study for exams anymore, blogging became a chore, working out was way down on my to do list and it rarely got done. I would get up in the morning and be completely clueless on what I needed to accomplish in a day but at the end of the day I’m the most tired one. Sometimes I would ask myself, why am I tired? because I haven't done anything the whole day, well other chasing around a toddler.
Now it’s post lockdown, I’m making the conscious effort to be motivated again. In one of my recent IG post, I said the word intentional suddenly made so much meaning to me. I’ve now decided to be intentional about everything, my career, my set goals, my family, friends and everyday living. I’ve decided to let the passive lifestyle go and get back on the berrysmotivation bandwagon.
Here are few things I’m doing to be motivated again:
I’m Intentional: I am now living purposefully, making sure whatever I set out to do, I do it well. I am actively living each day as it comes and actively setting daily targets to meet up. With family and friends, I am actively reaching out with good intentions and maintaining a small circle.
I’m laying out my goals in a place I can see them everyday: Apart from my daily to do list, I constantly remind myself of my goals so I do no lose track. My daily to do list has my goals listed each day and I keep reminding myself of what I need to do to achieve them.
I’m actively staying away from distractions E.g taking regular social media detox breaks. I realised that everyday my head was buzzing, clouded with so much unwanted information I’ve put in it, mostly from social media. Sometimes you open social media and you’re welcomed with a sad news and the rest of the day or week you keep pondering on that. Sometimes it’s the unwanted gossip and you find yourself nosing around. So I have days where I’m actively off social media and that has been helping.
I’m exercising more: My motivation to exercise are my patients. Everyday I talk about weight loss as a strategy to achieve good and quality health or as a lifestyle measure to maintain good health but then I get on the scale myself and the scale goes 360’ No way would I be overweight and preach weight loss, so I’m actively putting my weight and my health in check.
I am staying positive: This year has been everything and more. We have gone from complete certainty to uncertainty. The world has literally changed in the blink of an eye. I think we all have lots to learn from the experience of the pandemic. For me I am deciding to stay positive and keep a positive attitude all day and every day. I think being positive will just keep us going regardless of what is to come.
Lets us get back on track this year. No more excuses.

If you can relate, I hope these few tips help too. We can be motivated again.
Stay positive, healthy and happy.
